What is Collagen Stimulation?
As age increases, the body’s ability to synthesise collagen gradually decreases, leading to issues such as loose skin, wrinkles, and reduced elasticity. Collagen stimulation therapy aims to stimulate the production of collagen in the body, increasing collagen content and thereby improving skin structure and appearance.
Collagen stimulation therapy can be achieved through various methods, including:
- Collagen injections: By injecting products or biostimulants containing collagen directly into the skin tissue, collagen is provided to promote the generation of new collagen.
- Phototherapy: using specific wavelengths of light energy to stimulate skin cells, promoting collagen synthesis and augmentation.
- Microneedling: using a microneedle roller or microneedle injections to stimulate the skin tissue, promoting the growth and regeneration of collagen.
- Use of collagen boosters: applying skincare products or topical products that contain collagen boosters to stimulate skin cells to produce more collagen.
Collagen stimulation therapy can improve skin elasticity, firmness, and radiance, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and make the skin appear more youthful and resilient.

The PROFHILO® treatment is a relatively painless procedure. 5 simple injections will be made on each side of the face cheek and the treatment takes around 10-20 minutes.
The Sculptra® treatment will be split into 3 sessions 4-6 weeks apart. The number of injections performed varies due to the different reactions to the treatment person. The doctor may also apply partial anesthesia to ensure comfort during the procedure.
The DermaVeil® treatment and Aesthefill injection usually require 2 treatments. The second treatment must be conducted 20-30 days after the first treatment. The exact timing varies by person depending on their needs, it is therefore recommended to consult with a doctor.
